How can I take my mountain bike by plane?

You can transport your mountain bike by plane as an extra-large baggage for a surcharge. The number of extra-large pieces of luggage is limited, so the rule is "the sooner you book, the better the chance you have".

Will there be a contact person for the organisation during the festival in case of requests for assistance and various needs?

A guide from DER TOUR tour operator will be in Chiang Rai to assist you in case of need.

What are the temperatures in Chiang Rai?

The temperature in October ranges between 21° and 30°C. Since it is the beginning of autumn there could also be the possibility of a few showers.

Where exactly is Chiang Rai?

Chiang Rai is a city in northern Thailand, in the mountainous province of the same name. The city is close to the borders of Laos and Myanmar (formerly Burma).

Where can I pick up my race shirt number?

You can pick up your welcome pack at the HERO Village in Singha Park (12 km from Chiang Rai City), Thursday and Friday from 10.00 a.m. to 19.00 p.m.

I would like technical information about the race route

The HERO route at CHIANG RAI starts in Singha Park at an altitude of 400 m and runs along the mountains of CHIANG RAI for a length of 62 km and 1,200 meters of elevation gain (to be confirmed). Trails are mainly on dirt road of red soil.

Is it possible to have a rental bike for HERO Kids as well?

Yes, but subject to availability, which is quite limited.

What other services are available in the area?

- The airline ticket must be booked and purchased directly by credit card on the Thai Airways website
